Raavan’s premier at 63rd FilmFare Festival
The premier of most demanding Mani Ratnam’s film Raavan is probably held at Cannes on the fabulous event of 63rd Film fare festival as the Mani has already submit his request for this purpose .

Emotional reactions to the preview of Vishnunaradhan’s last movie

Last week a selected audience saw the preview of Vishnunaradhan’s last ever film ‘Aptha Rakshaka’ at a Chennai theatre.
Vishnunaradhan died 30 December 2009.
The film, the 200th in his career, is due for general release on 19 February 2010.
The preview was seen by Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth, who was visibly emotionally shaken, alongside brothers Ramkumar and Prabhu, the sons of Sivaji Ganesan. Rajini was quoted as saying ” I could not control my emotions after watching this film. It looked as if my friend is alive today and talking. Watching this film was a really emotional experience. I felt I was watching my own film ”
All those who saw the preview, emerged showing great emotion. Possibly more for the death of Vishnu, than the emotional content of the movie.
The Movie, entitled ‘Aptha Rakshaka’ is directed by P.Vasu.Asked if the movie would be remade in Tamil, Director P Vasu said yes for sure, and Rajinikanth would be his first choice.
Sivaji Productions, run by the aforementioned brothers, were the company who remade ‘Aaptha Mitra’ in Tamil, under the title ‘Chandramukhi’ in 2005, which proved to be one of the biggest hits in Tamil film history. Will the same company take on the Tamil remake of this one?
